About the event
In this two part series, local farmers, chefs, community builders and activists, mothers, grandmothers, and wild women, Cynthia Mora and Erika Anderson, will lead you through an afternoon of learning, laughter, and love of life, all surrounding the native plant Stinging Nettle (Urtica Dioica).
On April 15, 2023, accompany Cynthia and Erika on a journey from the earth into the kitchen. You will learn how to sustainably harvest Stinging Nettles, actions and contradictions of this plant, how to make a solar herbal oil infusion,and create delicious nettle tea and cake to share as a community.
Return to the farm on June 3, 2023, to craft with your solar infused Stinging Nettle oil. You will make salve, soap, and learn other ways to use your oil to nourish your skin and hair, all to take home and share with your loved ones.
